Elokuu on kääntymässä lopuilleen ja koulut ovat alkamassa, muodossa jos toisessakin. Manchesterin Suomi-koulussakin olemme tekemässä syyslukukauden suunnitelmia täydellä teholla. September is fast approaching, and schools are starting, in one form or another. Here in the Manchester Finnish school the plans for the coming term are also taking form. Hallitsevan koronavirustilanteen ja tämänhetkisten hallituksen ohjeistusten takia emme valitettavasti pääse vielä hetkeen tapaamaan kasvotusten. Koulu alkaa kuitenkin normaalisti, ensimmäinen koulukerta on 05.09.20. Jatkamme etäopetuksella samoilla ryhmillä kuin keväälläkin. Lapsille on kolme ryhmää, alle kouluikäiset (0-5 vuotiaat), nuoremmat kouluikäiset (5-9 vuotiaat) ja vanhemmat kouluikäiset (9-17 vuotiaat). Corona virus update - Koronavirustiedote The Finnish School in Manchester will start distance learning. In order to minimise the spread of the Covid 19 coronavirus the church premises where the Finnish School in Manchester operates have now been closed until futher notice. The school will follow the British government's and Suomi-Seura's advice and will transfer into distance learning. The teachers of each group will contact the students and will provide tasks and links to learning resources for the remaining lessons. Please make sure that your teacher has your contact details. The school comittee will monitor the situation and will provide information for any possible changes. Look after each other and your loved ones. Remember to wash hands and keep positive!
